I ordered these thinking they were check size 6.5 x 3 or so. They are not. I should have read the deminsions before I ordered, but was thrown off by the discription. They are 9.5 x 5.5 and are too large for the purpose I had in mind. I will find a use for them as I like to stay organized, but was very disapointed they were not what I wanted. That will teach me to read the discription better. If they had the smaller size I would buy them. In all my years and many purchases with Amazon this is the first time I did not get just what I was expecting. I usually read the reviews before buying but there were not any for this product. Just be aware of the size before you buy. Otherwise the product is nice.

These plastic envelopes will work perfectly for my yearly receipts for paid bills, market receipts and other assorted paperwork. Excellent price: I had been previously been buying the Office Max brand of 5 envelopes for about $7, including tax. Good variety of colors, so I can change from year to year. Checks will fit in them, but so will folded up 8 1/2" X 11" sheets of paper. I do think "letter size" would be a more appropriate description. I did look at the dimensions to make sure the envelopes would work for me before buying on Amazon and I am very pleased with my purchase of 12 poly envelopes from Filexec.
